The majority of our Lease Renewal cases are settled by negotiation, without litigation. This leads to a smoother, shorter negotiating period, lower Client expenses, and often a better relationship between Tenant and Landlord at the end of the process. This is an important reason to try and avoid litigation, as harmony between Landlord and Tenant often leads to mutually beneficial Lease restructuring. Approximately only 3% of our Lease Renewal cases have ended up in Court, and we expect the number of cases to rise to 5% over the next 12 months.
